Year 2000 brings total REPAHA graduates
to 466!!
REPAHA
is pleased to announce that we
graduated a total of 19 students for the year 2000.
This final graduation before
the new millennium took place at the Georgetown Club under the chairmanship of Mr. Nicholson,
the principal of the Guyana School of Agriculture (GSA) with whom we continue to share a
excellent relationship.
The graduates came from the
following countries: Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, Nevis and
St. Vincent.
Fourteen
of them received diplomas in Animal Health and Veterinary
Public Health while 5 got diplomas in Livestock
Production and Management.
There were 6 distinction students
and 13 with credit. Mr. Troy Brathwaite
of Barbados copped the gold medal prize for topping the
class.
As we approach the future it would
be opportune to remind ourselves as Dr. Steve Surujballi
put it as he gave the graduates the charge, Apart
from the West Indies Cricket Team REPAHA is CARICOMs
next success story.
The current second year students, 2001
batch, are preparing for their graduation later this year.

REPAHA traditional hosts an annual event called
International Day. The objective of this activity is to make students and
visitors more aware of what the Caribbean territories which current students
represent has to offer and to also educate the public of what the CARICOM
Secretariat is doing.
There
will be no 2001 International Day due to the unstable political climate
but later we will inform you about it in the coming year.
You are
welcome to join us.
